Morning All:[p]I had not done any pulled pork in quite a while, so when the much better half asked for some this weekend, it made sense. Stopped at Sam's Saturday morning and picked up a pack of two butts (total weight about 15.25#). One I covered in DP RedEye Express and the other a combination of BlueSmokes Wicked Grin & DP Raging River. Put them in the fridge until I put them on the Egg at about 10:15pm Sat. night. [p]Just put them on and ready to close the lid for the night. Dome temp was about 185 to start. I hit the sack at about midnight with the dome temp up to about 195.
[p]I woke up at about 3:00am, checked & everything was fine (225 dome temp/152 meat temp). When I got up for the day at 7:30am, I just had to take a peek (and photo). Doing fine at 235 dome/178 meat temps).[p]
[p]When we got home from church decided to take them off (dome 255/meat 195 temp) and below is the results of pulling. There would be slightly more, but I couldn't resist munching as I pulled.[p]
[p]All very tasty! Will make some great lunches this week.[p]Have a GREAT day!

SSN686, looks awesome Jay. Did you try the coconut lump?

Morning Scott:[p]It was about 50/50 K-lump and BGE lump and held temps just fine. Initially filled to just under top of the fire ring and ended up with about half left. Enough to easily do this Banana-Nut Cake (recipe from the Penzeys Spice catalog).[p]Taken just before removing from Egg.
[p]Completed with glaze.[p]
[p]See you in Ocala![p]Jay
Have a GREAT day!

SSN686,
Looks great, what position is your plate setter in??? Look like it might be feet down but can't see enough of it to tell.[p]Thanks,
New Bob

Morning New Bob:[p]No, it is legs up, with the cooking grid on the legs and drip pan between grid & platesetter.[p]I flipped it over for the next item (a cake). See the response to Borders below.[p]Have a GREAT day!

SSN686, Hey! You are going to make it to the Florida Fest. Cool.
-
Borders,[p]Unfortunately it will only be for Saturday afternoon as we cannot get out of the event at church that morning. But half an EggFest is better than none at all!![p]Jay
Have a GREAT day!
