Does anyone know if a deer steak is better 1)seared at high temps (like you'd do for a beef steak), or 2) cooked low and slow.[p]Thanks for any advice

dixie_flyer,[p]do them just like a regular steak, i think a low and slow would just dry it out and make it very tough(just guessin). if you have a lot in the freezer you can play with different temps but i'ld go with the simple grill till medium rare(don't overcook or it will dry out fast) and enjoy the flavor of the venison, it always tastes better if you were the one that got the deer!![p]Scott[p]

dixie_flyer,
I did some this season by marinating in milk, then rubbed with Dizzy Pig Red Eye. I seared at high temps to med rare and it was great.
