Two 6 lb lobsters arrived today from my parents in Boston (wifes B-Day).....and they have only 45 minutes to say their goodbyes to each other.
Steaming one....(I'm a purist) and doing the other on the BGE....split in half...a little (lots) butter and garlic....on a raised grid and close the lid![p]Life is good.......hopefully pics will follow. I actually took a pic of the two on a test run on my lg Egg and they were a very TIGHT fit....monsters! Paul

I've included the following news article, just in case you were having trouble putting them out of their misery. LOL

Pakak,
Man, I was. Just thinking about buying frozen tails but I love lobster so much. Some guy told me they screamed in the grill.[p]Mike
-
Midnight Smoker,
I have been wanting to do this. All the pics and help you can give me is apprecated.
I need all the details.[p]Mike
-
Midnight Smoker,[p]You are going to race them first aren't you?
-
Pakak,
Is the green chili powder that you and hounddog refer to also called Pasada?
-
Yo no se. (I don't know) The stuff I found just says "Green Chile Rub" and I found it at Whole Foods. It has some other things in it like garlic and onion but I cannot see them in the mix, so I'm assuming there isn't much in there. It just looks like coursely ground, dried geen chiles. So course, I ground them in my coffee mill til it was a fine powder. Seemed to work well and tasted great.

Yazoo,[p]How do you put saddles on them?

Midnight Smoker,

Midnight Smoker,[p]I'm kinda interested how they came out. might try the clambake tonite but am interested in which turned out better. plus i really wanna see them monsters.[p]Scott

fishlessman,[p]To steam: 13 minutes for the first pound....then 3 minutes for every pound after that. So a 6lb would takes 28 minutes. I'll have some pics posted soon of these bad boys! They were mighty tasty....... Paul
