Fire ring on Mini

I just got a new Mini Big Green Egg.
The fire ring on it is small.
The firebox seems to be ok.
When I move the fire ring to one side I have about 1 to 1.5 inches
of gap to the side of the Egg.
Is this normal for a Mini?[p]

that sounds like the fire ring on my large - it's oval and will only fit one way - otherwise it hangs up on the edges and does not rest on top of the firebox. Obviously it was out of round before it got fired.

The fire ring in my mini is also very loose...it hasn`t caused any problems yet tho.....HTH[p]Wess

I've had my Mini for 3 years and the fire ring is sort of "off" (no comments please). It also wobbles too. Don't care and I use her all the time.

I just didn't want to give up any space on the grill.[p]
