Dad\'s Finished Table Project
GoBlues
Posts: 15
I purchased my dad a Large for Christmas and showed him this website and the wide variety of things you can do with it. He decided after looking at all the pictures that it was time to build a table. The pictures that follow are his project. He roughly used the plans from Naked Whiz and added a couple of "I'd like this or I'd like thats"
Initial skeleton
skeleton different angle
Aligning the tiles on the top
Tiles down awaiting wood trim painting Wanted to add wood trim to make for a smoother finish as well as be able to attach bottle openers.
Finished Product after lifting onto deck (with a skid steer)
Another Finished product
Last Finished product
Note the two large rotisserie smoker/cooker trailers in the background of the Last Finished Product. These are what he used to always use when he would like to have a little something smoked and now the eggs is the product of choice.

Kevin,
Your dad's table is beautiful. I have a slate tile outdoor table and his egg table would complement that perfectly. I love the storage shelves also. I have the generic BGE table which works well but has no storage space. I need to work on that. -
That is one beautiful table! Nice job

That is one WELL built table! Never seen one built so heavy duty. Should last forever and be able to pass down to generations just like The BGE.BGE'er since 1996 Large BGE 1996, Small BGE 1996, Mini BGE 1997

That works out good for me then. He already told me that if I like it he has enough material laying around to make me one. Guess I'll have to wait two more years until I retire from the Air Force and move back in that direction and sit up residence.

That is one sweet ride!

How much metal was required to build the table? Do you have the dimensions? I have a friend that is willing to show me how to weld and with the purchase of an XL, I find I have a project I need to complete.
Thanks,
Dave -
Wow. Outstanding table. Wish I had the time/capability to pull of a project like that.
