investigating purchasing BGE

Smokin Joe,[p]Not much, smokin. Actually 14 pounds of it is for the sister-in-law across the street, but we ain't playin' take turns pickin the frozen steak game until I see a dang check...[p]but yeah, 30 pounds for the three of us is a good bit.

I got mine through my local dealer on Long Island. The name of the company is Vitale Propane Gas if you can believe it. I am a propane customer of theirs for my kitchen stove and oven as I and my wife do like cooking on an electric stove. I had purchased my Ducane grill from them a number of years back and I was looking for something bigger or better. What I found was better so hence the purchase of the BGE. Mr. Vitale (the owner) was great about recommending the egg. He told me his only problem with the egg is he is losing customers refilling their 20lb. tanks for the gas grills. I would have had mine sooner but since I procrastinated someone else purchased his last large BGE for the Superbowl. So here I am waiting for my delievery (should be here by Thurs. or Fri.) while I look at everyones great pictures and if I really want to punish myself I put in the Big Green Egg video and watch Mr. Toad make his stuffed pork. I can not wait for weeks end!!!!

btravis,once you try actually EATING something cooked on the Egg you will see why we all are kind of nutty about it. It is an AWESOME cooking machine !
