Finally building my table...Help

I am building my table this weekend and looking for insight from some of you "seasoned" eggers. I am going to be using the whiz plans with a few modifications. Flip up side table and 4x4's for the legs. I am also going to be using cypress rather than oak.
Do any of you have any other suggestions for things you wish you would have done with your table? i.e solid surface top, drawers, storage, or finish suggestions. I am open to any suggestions that you may have.
Thanks,

My table is 6' long. I have six 12" tiles that are used as my work area and I love it. It gives me a lot of area to work on.
This isn't the greatest photo but you get the idea.

Good luck and take lots of pics... -
I have one table similar to Kims with 6 12in tiles for the top with a cypress border, My other table has a cypress plank top with one 18in porcelin tile inlaid in the work area for hot stuff. Both are basic Whiz designs and approx 6ft long, they work well and I don't really have a big preference over the two.
I finished the first one with just a sealer [ very high dollar sealer] and the second with marine spar varnish [Min Wax "Helsman Spar Urethane"]. The sealer is very unsatisfactory in that it dosen't seal out the dirt and charcoal dust and that table looks ten years old. I do not have a pic of it but here is a shot of the varnished one, it still looks brand new two years later and cleans up with a damp rag.

Hope this helps -
Bought the wood, ripped the wood, sanded the wood, started the frame and now I am tired. Hopefully I will have enough time to finish the rest next weekend. The lumber company that I went to did not have a good selection of cypress, so I went with the red oak and it is really nice.
