How long will the butt stay hot in a cooler?

I've got it wrapped in foil and insulated with towels. I wanted it to be hot and fresh when everyone arrived instead of having to reheat it.

    I've had mine in the cooler since 11:00 and won't be taking it out until about 5:00.[p]I had to go 9 hours one time and I used a comforter and a preheated cooler and the meat was still over 140° when I pulled it.

    We've taken ours out 6-8 hours later and there is still steam coming out of it when we chop it. No worries - it'll be just fine. Rest easy and wait for everyone to oooooo and awwwww over your hard work.
