I just got a MBGE. I am waiting on a nest so i havent used it yet. I am going to use it on my balcony. I live on the 10th floor of an eleven story building so there is always plant of air circ. However my neighbors balcony is 100 inches from up from mine. Its concrete painted with a non slip pain. I have dropped hot coals on my balcony before and nothing happened. So i think its pretty heat resistant. Has anyone ever had any issues with melting vinyl or anything during a high heat sear or clean? How tall does the heat plume rise? Ive seen a few pics of the blue jet flame at nigh and looks like its gets about 2 feet. Any advice is appreciate. Im hopefully firing it up tomorrow. I have laser temperature reader that I will use to check the heat during the cook.
Thanks from a newbie!
