I went to a local thrift store and got a steelcase file cabinet for 10.00

Took it apart, sanded lightly, and wiped down with wet cloths. Then cut a hole in the top with my jigsaw.

Painted the bottom skirt and shelf black.

Painted the body and top with almond.

Had to modify the casters on the front due to the difference in clearance regarding the skirt and bottom of the cabinet.

Got it level and popped on the handles!!!

Got it all put back together and ready to go. Gonna put some clearcoat on it and call it a day!

Very creative! I love tables made from alternative materials. You can really spend crazy money on them if you don't watch it.

Great job but I have 2 suggestions:

at a minimum get 3 BGE feet and put them between the mini and the tile...the heat will radiate and eventually crack the tile and scorch or burn the table.

the other suggestion is to use a thicker paver stone instead on the tile...and even then still use the 3 BGE feet as sapcers...safety first.. :)
