Smoking on a Mini

Does anyone use a Mini as a smoker? How does it compare?
An archive search reveals that the mini is used for grilling and maybe not smoking. I'll be living alone in a small RV after I retire and I think the small is too big so I must go with the Mini.

Salmon, A chicken would fit as would ribs and loins and other stuff. And a Mini is the only Egg I could carry in a Sportsmobile (van conversion).

siamsam,[p]IMHO smoking usually involves indirect. I just see that with a mini. You can grill a couple steaks and chicken breasts but no low and slow.[p]CWM

Car Wash Mike,[p]Right after I replace the gasket on my Mini (too many TRexed steaks), I was going to try some smoking anyway. Maybe I'll remember to take pictures (if I can find the camera) and post the results here.[p]BOB

siamsam,[p]I know Angie2B used to do all sorts of low-and-slows on her mini. Maybe her handle will help your searches in the archives. I think she did small pork butts, as well as a brisket flat (???) I think. [p]Steve-B

siamsam,[p]The mini can be used as a low and slow cooker for smaller amounts of meat. I have done about a 4 pound pork roast with great results but think I could have done one slightly larger at around 6 pounds. I will send you some info with pictures later in the day.[p]Dave
