<p />Okay, so about 107 days away, it is not too early to start making plans. I noticed the registrations in the guest book have slowed up, and wanted to remind yall to try and make plans to attend this 6 year tradition of good friends and great cooks celebrating together by doing what they do best. Cooking, eating, partying, sharing secrets and socializing. Plus, you can take home a once-used large BGE for a song.[p]It is a fantastic time of year to visit our nation's capital, and you have 3 airports to choose from if you decide to fly in. Seasonal Distributor's Eggfest is THE first and biggest Eggfest besides the Eggtoberfest, and you will be among some of the best cooks, and the nicest folks around. You will personally have your socks knocked off by Jim Wimer and his incredible ribs. They get better every year, and it is an experience that'll roll the eyes back in yo haid.[p]Mark dem calendars.

  • Nature Boy,
Wouldn't ya know I have a wedding to be in that day. If it was my own, I bet I could get out of it! But can't leave my wingman to go at it alone, crap![p]But I am interested, in getting one of those eggs, Can I sign up for one and pick it up later, or do I have to represent and take home that day?[p]Greg

    Nature Boy,
YEAH! That's where I purchased my Large, real good price.i Wished they would offer the small as a once used bargain I want the small next. I believe the one in Fla. offers the small as a demo also, from what I gathered reading this forum. If I went in May, I'd have to have another egg in car
on return trip. And the small would be it.
Cuppy P.S Just LUV the DIZZY RUBS I PURCHASED. GREAT STUFF

  • Colonel Pork Butt,
they have to be picked up the day of the event, but if you pay for one in advance, i'm sure that myself or brett could bring it home for you.. . .i'll even make sure i cook on yours to break it in real proper like :)[p]

mad max beyond eggdome,[p]pssst. Give him your aybor-nay's address too...then you can cook on it more than once.[p]Heee.[p]Heading for the mother ship now. Wife says we don't need anything. Wondering here if I agree with that assessment...
  • mad max beyond eggdome,
Sure, either of us can do that. I tell you what, if the Colonel wants to sign up (which includes one free entry into the Eggfest) I will come in his stead and make sure the Egg gets safely back to Arlington. He can come and pick it up from there anytime. Max, you and I can split the savings. [p]Brett

  • GrillMeister,
WOW! I remember that shot. Has it been that long ago? What a fun time everyone had. I'm really REALLY REALLY looking forward to our next one. Spring Hen and I have already started trying to plan what we'll be cooking. There was so much good food last year that we'll have to come up with something that's unusually good to even be in the running. [p]GrillMeister will once again revert to his role as HostMeister Magnanimous and go about making sure everyone is having fun. And if we are lucky enough to have the same kind of weather as last year, it will be a fantastic event.[p]Spring "Chomping At The Bit" Chicken

  • mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Hmmm...sounds like you guys have a good plan. Next thing you know the 3 of'sya will be asayin that it got postponed a month, to get the extra use! But then again beggers can't be choosers, so a small price to pay to increase my egging capacity by 100%![p]Greg

  • Nature Boy,
I never been to anything like this and I was wondering what to say to the wife about the $50 each for registration. That's a hundred bucks total. I go to a lot of boat shows for about 15 to 20 bucks each and get to walk around. How does all the food and beverage get into the act? What do we bring? If you only have limited time, what would be the best time of the day to mingle?
