Bio Bricks as cooking fuel

Last month I went to a Bertucci's in Baltimore, MD, and noticed that instead of using cordwood to fuel their pizza oven they were using Bio Bricks. For those who are unfamiliar, BioBricks are essentially a compressed hardwood shaving cake about the size of a loaf of bread. I've seen Biobricks used as woodstove fuel, but never heard of anyone using them for food applications. According to the manager, they do not have any fillers or paraffin in them to assist in combustion. The sawdust is compressed to some 20,000 PSI, which causes the shavings to form the brick shape.

Regardless, I was wondering if anyone has experimented using biobricks in their green egg. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Tom E.
