Two Salmon Fillet from Trader Joe's Seasoned with Richard's Holy Smokin Chipotle, Butter, and Lemon.
Heated for 1-hr. @ 350*
On the Salt for 3-min. a side.
Served with Sticky Rice and Succotash. Tasty, I love cooking on the Salt Block it gives another flavor de-mention.

Ross,
If one were to cook salmon using several different indirect methods (i.e. cedar plank, cast iron skillet, etc.) could you tell which was cooked on the block? -
Very cool Ross
The salt block looks like it holds up well.
Still have to get mine
It never showed up under the tree :(

Is the salt a "neat" thing or a way to cook?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

Where did you get the salt block and what did it cost?
Interesting idea -
Nice cook Ross. Regarding the cedar, ci and salt question, I have done all 3 and the salt block retains more moisture in the fish, then the cedar and finally the ci for least moist of the 3.

Looks great Ross. Must get one of those blocks
-
Looks delicious! I just got a salt block as well - I'm now very motivated to try it!

I have never tried cooking on the salt block but your salmon looks great. I bet it tasted just as good.
