Pork Fat Rules

Been busy. Put 2 8-lb butts on last evening around 5pm, and pulled them off around 1030 this morning. Pork fat for lunch and Winnie the Wonder Dog got a bone. [p]P1010010.jpg[p]Lump was still going strong so amde a few abts and scallops for an appetizer.[p]3ef3a000.jpg[p]bobbyb

    Looks good! [p]I have to admit, I went oooooo, ahhhhh when I saw the ABT's and the scallops... Great thought for the appetizers. [p]I also liked the main picture with what appears to be warm weather in the background. We just got about 6" of new snow, and it was not good weather for an all nighter last night at all. It was cold and the wind was in that 30MPH + bracket. The sun is shining now, but it's wintertime. My egg is cold with a snow dome.[p]Mike in MN

    Yes, we live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Only got down to about 50 last night, with a high today over 70. We are supposed to have a cold front pass thru tonight, but it won't be that bad. I feel your pain. Looks very cold there in MN.
    Got the idea for both the scallops,abts and the pork off this site. Really a great place to learn how to use my relatively new egg. Thanks all.

    Basically stuffed jalapenos, aka atomic buffalo turds. There are lots of variations, but look in the recipe section of the BGE page for a good version.
