I have a 14.5 lb packer in my deep freeze and just bought a 10.5 lb with a freeze/sell by date of Feb 2nd. They are both cryobagged and are both going on for superbowl....so should I freeze the new one and take them both out on thursday to thaw out together or just let it sit in the fridge until I put it on to cook late on Saturday??

    I would take the frozen one out now and place it in the frig with the new one, assuming you have room. Or place in a cooler in the garage. No need to freeze the new one. With your weather you might just put the cooler in the house for a few days.
  • I'll give the cooler idea a try as space in my fridge space is limited with the upcoming party and I have a cooler designated for resting meat. Thanks for the help!

    A CALM AND RESTFUL MOMENT IN NEW ENGLAND.

    New England- December 2010

    It's winter in New England
    And the gentle breezes blow,
    70 miles per hour at 52 below!
    Oh, how I love New England
    When the snow's up to your butt;
    You take a breath of winter air
    And your nose is frozen shut.
    Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
    You may think I'm a fool.
    I could never leave New England,
    Cause I'm frozen to the stool.
