Little slow here at work today, not that I'm complainin'. I took a few minutes to go to the archives and take a look at the Egg traffic in January 2000. Some of you have been at this a while. Guess that explains why many of you are so good at it! [p]Many familiar names - Nature Boy - Gfw - Elder Ward - YB - RhumbAndJerk - J Appledog - Gretl - Cornfed - Mike O - Smokin' Todd - BluesnBBQ - djm5x9 and many more familiar names. Talkin' about smoking salmon before Gretl taught us how; Elder Ward learning how to do ribs from a book his 10-year old duaghter bought for him; tests being performed to see how the new wireless thermameters work; discussing the pro's and con's of the new daisy wheel vs. the dual function metal top; even cookin' "Brown Bottle Boogie Birds." Turns out those were Cornish hens cooked on Guiness bottles. That had to be tricky! Guess emptying the Guiness bottles was the best part :)[p]Many of you have taught me a lot over the past 3 years. It is great to see that this forum is as active, fun and helpful as it was 5 years ago.[p]Have a great week end. I'll be smokin' up the sky over Virginia with about 6 racks of ribs and a bunch of Tanker Tim's baked beans. Gotta think about those Brown bottle Boogie Birds though. Maybe I'll just get the "holders" ready this week end.
