We had a heatwave today so I egged a 'zone

We had a balmy 26 degrees tonight! I cooked without my coat, thought it was spring... I also had an opportunity to run into the pizza joint today to buy some fresh dough, so here's what we had: calzone on the mini (poor thing, I've hardly used it since getting my small :( ). From bottom up, a mixture of ricotta and mozz, chopped ham and chopped cappicola, onions/shrooms/peppers, topped with shredded Swiss. It was really good, served with a side of sauce.

Julia, that do look nice!! We had low 30's today - eat your heart out! Was outside in a T-shirt and no socks! After I got rid of 13-14" of new snow.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Funny how after a real cold spell a day that is still below freezing feels like spring. The cook looks like it came out perfect and tasty.

Thanks Molly!

Michael, I feel for you guys, you've really had your fill this year...thought for the day... 10 weeks from this time last year I was cleaning the pool! :woohoo:
-
Mark, you are so right, haha! Tolerating as cold as you can :pinch: in a t-shirt makes those ten+ below temps bearable! :woohoo:

That looks good, Julia. I'm glad it warmed all the way up to 26 for ya!!!! BRRRR!
I am like you and have only used the mini once since I got the small.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Julia this is just delicious must cook it some time

Faith, I would have preferred a small - but it won't fit in my fireplace - so I wouldn't have been able to cook in my living room on the really cold nights. Since I mostly cook for just me, the mini is fine - and the LR is warm!! Chick thighs tonight - indoors!
