After some nice burgers I am going to season the CI grate. Got high hopes the Grape Seed Oil can withstand the high sear temps. I was told it would. Believe you me, we will have to check out in a couple days.[p]This thing is heavy. LR more man tools.[p]Grate and Grape Seed Oil.

starter.jpg[p]Brush on a liberal amount of oil.
I think I will add more oil in about an hour.
Close all vents after 4 hours and let cool overnight.

    Car Wash Mike,
i did not season mine, but it seems to season itself with use. i wouldnt worry about reseasoning it later, mine has not needed it.one thing that took me a long time to figure out is that you can cook on both sides, i like burgers cooked on the flat side for wide grill marks and steaks cooked on the other side.the grape seed oil works good on my lodgr pans and wok

you can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
