New Gasket on Problem with $ bill test

Well, after hours and hours of fighting the bands on this damn thing, the idea of adding a couple of washers between the hinge and the upper band did the trick to align the top and bottom half. I tightened all the bolts and did the dollar bill test. Tight all the way around except the freaking front! I can't light the egg until tomorrow to see if there is leakage, but I am totally lost why it is not tighter in the front part of the egg. Seriously, I bet I have 7 hours in this project. I don't ever think I will change gaskets again in life!

Don't obsess over the dollar bill test. It really isn't crucial.
Unless you have a huge gap the thing is going to cook, hold temps, and shut down just fine.
