Had friends over yesterday, who really enjoyed their first eggsperiance! On the menu for the day was NB’s Ginger Mahogany Ribs - they were are first attempt at ribs & Bambi’s Balinese Bananas. Both were excellent!! As for the ribs I heard my friend’s wife (Becky) say “they were the best ribs she ever had”. High praise when your here in Chicago competing against the likes of a Carson's Ribs. We really enjoyed them NB.[p]I let Becky do the mixing for the Balinese Bananas – she has fried something similar. We put them out on the Egg for 25 minutes @ 350. Once done we put them on plates passed around the whip topping and they were gone! Very enjoyable.[p]Thanx a lot for sharing these recipes, we really enjoyed them.[p]Next up I think we have to try the Portabello Mushroom caps with Brandy. Does anyone know the link to this recipe? I can remember seeing it in the forum with a picture of the shrooms on the grill.[p]Thanx again to all.[p]Jethro

<p />Jethro, congratulations on the ribs and bananas. While there are many fine resturaunts that serve ribs, you'll quickly lose your taste for jusr 'regular old resturaunt ribs' as you master the BGE![p]The picture is from the 1st time that I made NB's Ginger Mahogany Ribs and they were great!

Jethro,[p] Sounds like things turned out fantastic. After reading
about the bananas, are your times & temps correct. I
would like to try these also.
    Thanks[p] Earl

Earl,[p]The time and tempature are pretty close. We pretty much followed the recipe - see the post below.[p]One thing we did a little different was placing the bananas on an aluminum pizza tray. It has probably a few hundred little holes in the bottom to help in browing the crust of a pizza in a conventional oven. The pizza tray was placed atop a couple of fire bricks.[p]I image this brought the cooking time up a bit versus being placed directly on the main cooking grid. In any event check out the link below and give them a try. I am sure you'll enjoy them.[p]Jethro
