BBQ Slaw

Ive been hanging on this board for for a while now and seen alot of recipes posted. One that i havent seen is for Lexinton style BBQ Slaw. Ive seen the other mayo types but not BBQ. Living in the Piedmont area of NC for the past 10 yrs and having eaten at most of the classic places ,Lexington BBQ, Clarks, Etc I always get BBQ slaw with my meal and would say its by far more popular than the mayo version IMO. I really dont like the mayo version. So heres the one I make that is supposed to be from Allan H at Lexington BBQ.[p]Lexington BBQ Slaw[p]1 lb chopped cabbage
4 tbs ketchup
3 tbs sugar
1 tbs vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper[p]Mix the cabbage with the rest of the ingredients and allow at least 20 mins but longer if possible in the frig. [p]

1 tbs vinegar

Randy,[p]Thanks!!! I love "authentic" recipes. Where I'm from in NJ, the most "authentic" BBQ around comes off of mine and ST's grills!
