Porka-pa-looza Pie!

Cook Report as follows:[p]Spied Woodoggies unbelievable looking Pepper Pork Pie pic During awesome forum photo contest.[p]Further investigation and with Woo's assistance, YB's Vadalia onion pie came into play.[p]Saturday, afternoon sent one spawn to gradmas, other for afternoon nap.[p]3pm.- Made joy of cooking cream cheese pastry dough. botched the first batch, just enough incredients for a second.[p]5pm - Fed remaining spawn, spaghettios right out of the can, to keep demon chef focused.
6pm - cooked up 1/2 dozen slices of bacon in cast iron skillet.
6:30pm - drained skillet added huge pile of vadalia onions, sauted for awhile adding in some bacon grease, until well carmalized. Like things on the sweeter side so sprinkled a little sugar in the raw, salt, white pepper. and removed from heat.
7 pm - Remaining spawn, managed to find way out of closet and duct tape restraining device, decided to entertain him with the electronic babysitter and "toy story"
7:05pm - Happy hour
7:10pm - Happy hour
7:15pm - Added big pile of previously cooked pulled pork chopped up a bit, along with some jarred sweet roasted red peppers coursley chopped to cast iron skillet, browned it up.
7:25pm - created hole in middle of pile and melted 5-6oz of cream cheese, couple of spoons of sour cream and and couple TBS. Chipotle Flavored Tabasco sauce. gradually incorporated pork until fully mixed. Remove heat, and set aside.
7:45 - Rolled out pastry dough, fitted it to 10" cast iron skillet, brushed with light egg and water mixture, and threw into 400* oven for about 10 minutes.
8pm - Spawn has reached critical mass, and must be dealt with, by utimately caving in and an invitation to sleep with Dad in the big bed. Negotiations are successfull.
8:15pm - Began, assembly, bottom layer pork mixture, next vadalia onions, whisked eggs over the onions covered with a little cheddar cheese. Repeat process for nest layer. Top off with previously cooked bacon.
8:30pm - Egg has been patiently waiting at 375* for hours and patience finally pays off by receiving heavy laden artery clogging skillet over indirect heat.
8:30 - 9:30pm - clean up and Happy Hours continue.
9:30pm - Egg spits out beautiful looking creation.
9;30pm - 10pm - decide I must celebrate the way it looks by offering, beer to the egg gods. While hovering and poking at the pie and crust.
10pm - Decided, if pie plate is placed over top of skillet it may be able to turn into a porka-pa-looza upside down pie.
10:05pm - Thanks to grandmas perfectly seasond iron skillet the moment of truth, and well, ......flipped it over lifted off the skillet and a beautifully formed upsided down pie was left.
10:10 - 10:20pm - took some pictures and patted myself on the back.
10:25pm - sliced out a pie piece and experienced tastefull bliss.
10:30pm - dispatched runner and communications to neighbors, still waiting results.
10:45pm - called wife to report favorable report.
11:30pm - hit bed with remaining spawn and ate 3T little toes in the face for balance of night.[p]Pictures to follow, upon arrival to machine with faster uploading capabilities.[p]End of Report:[p]Signed, Colonel Pork Butt

Dam my cover is blown, Colonel, well it's more of an honorary titled bestowed upon me by myself and the internal affairs dept. of the pentagon has refused my request for a commision. However, my gradfather is a retired Colonel, USMC., so I do have a bit in the blood![p]Carry on!
