Many of you may have not known her but the Big Green Egg community lost a good friend a few days back.

Donna worked with a number of companies in the BBQ industry but I have to believe that Big Green Egg was her favorite - or at least I know she would have me believe that. Much of the growth of Big Green Egg and its products and cookbooks (THE Big Green Egg Cookbook) was inspired by Donna. Many of you may have met her at EGGtoberfests held at the BGE HQ as she certainly enjoyed coming every October.

I'll miss talking with her and learning from her experience and insight. Big Green Egg and the entire BBQ industry has lost a friend.

While attending the 2009 eggtoberfest a lady was allowing attendees to preview the new cookbook. I wonder if that was her we meet. Blessings to her and her family and friends.

Thanks for the notice Bill. I think you are right, the Egg was either her favorite gig, or she just had a passion for everything she was involved with. Probably both! I heard of her condition a few months ago and I'm saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all who knew her.

Wow, what terrible news.

Donna was a very encouraging voice when we first started our Eggs by the Bay Eggfest and store. Her enthusiasm towards the BGE showed in our conversations.
