Agreed, lump starts just as quickly when it is cold. I keep mine stored in a dry location in my steel BGE cabinet. I grill all winter long in northern MN and in below zero temperatures. I did a 9 pound pork butt in single digit temperatures and the BGE held 240 degrees for 19 hours.
