Used egg refurbished

I recently bought my parents a used medium egg that came with a nest and plate setter. I took the whole thing apart and took everything back down to metal and sprayed everything with the Rustoleum high heat paint. I also got them some composite shelves and a new CI grate and put on a new gasket. Looks pretty good now.

Wow! Who could tell its been refurbished. Looks as good as the medium I just got. How much did you pay for it if I may ask.

It's the 84" 5/8" Flat Rutland gasket. There are instructions on Naked Whiz on how to do it and they are available on Amazon for either $6.99 or $7.99.

I paid $340 for it with the nest, platesetter, and cover (Craigslist). I also found the composite shelves on Ebay for $65 brand new. The firebox was shattered but the guy had gone out and got a brand new firebox that had never been used that it came with.

Sweet!
Going to be a shame when your parents get that beautiful and spanking clean egg all smokey and greasy. -
What kind of gasket is that?

That is Rutland fireplace gasket I buy it at my local fireplace store. They sell it off the roll enough for my med cost about three bucks. I also ude Permatex ultra copper to glue it down. I only use the gasket on the base not the dome
