saw something on food tv yesterday morning. ..made it for dinner last night, using the egg of course. .. .[p]1 pound of bowtie pasta (or other short pasta like penne) boiled in heavily salted water
1 1/2 pound salmon filet, brushed with olive oil and a little salt and pepper. ..grilled direct on the bge at 400 degrees for about 8 - 10 minutes per side (want this one cooked all the way through). .
1 package of frozen peas. .
fresh grated parmesan regiano[p]cooked the pasta, tossed it generously with butter. . .throw in the salmon and peas. . .toss it with a spoon to break up the salmon. .[p]serve it up with a nice grating of the cheese on top. ...[p]really delicious, simple, and looked great. . served it with a nice tossed salad. .. .[p]nothing else needed. ..[p]we'll do this one again for sure. . .

  • mad max beyond eggdome,
Did you do direct on raised grill or at regular grill level

  • gdube16,
regular grill level. . .and i had a fairly small load of lump, only up to the top of the fire box.. so there was a pretty good amount of space between fire and fish. .. [p]but really, you could grill it any way you want. ..for this dish though, i would recommend it be done pretty plain (when i make salmon, i usually do cedar planks, and/or dizzy rubs, etc.. . .for this one it was just plain grilled. ..
