A few months ago I purchased a large egg that was posted for sale on this forum. Fortunately the seller did not disclose the price or it would have been gone in a heartbeat. It came with a table, lots of tools, a Polder thermometer, an electric starter and more. All for $200. Didn't need to rationalize that purchase![p]My wonderful husband bought a nest for it as we have just begun to compete; moving them in and out of tables gets old fast. (We actually burned our original table in our fire pit). It is 19° right now. Being able to roll a large egg to the back door and fire it up with an electric starter is pretty sweet indeed![p]JCA[p]

  • J Appledog,
Hey, I can move my table and egg to the back door! As long as I have some 10 ton hydraulic jacks, my wife's F150 and a couple of strong neighbors on hand. Bracing is heavy![p]TNW

    Julie...
Just one serious word of caution - especially with the advent of snow (let alone not knowing what surface you are rolling that nest over) NEVER push your BGE in the nest, but instead always PULL it. If you push it and the wheels hit even a minor obstruction it MAY fall forward VERY EASILY and break, but if you are pulling it then an obstruction will mean it will fall INTO you and you'll have a better chance of actually catching it and preventing a heartbreak...after all you know the childhhood story of "all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty back together again!"
