Tater Receipe
I am looking for a receipe that I saw on someones web site for potatoes cooked on the egg. There was a picture with the taters on a skewer and it looked like the taters had seasoning on them. Can someone please point me to that web site. I can't find them on here or on the Whiz's site and I forgot to bookmark them. Anyone know where this receipe is?

BRH,
I can't say where you saw them, but potatoes cook up nicely. Whether skewered or loose, they turn out great.[p]I coat them with olive oil and my favorite potato seasoning (Dizzy Dust). I do cheat a bit to "hurry" the process by starting them in a bowl, in the microwave. I cook them them about halfways through, and then finish them on the egg, direct, turning as needed. When they crisp up, and get the grill marks going... things are good![p]When they are done like this, they make the best leftovers, or the base for a potato salad.[p]Mike in MN

thirdeye,
That may be the recipe/link BRH was looking for. My post was really geared towards whole baked potatoes using new potatoes/bakers/reds/Yukons, whatever. Not sliced. But the slicing would work. They'd also cook faster, and crisp up nice. I've done them like this, but I use one of those WOK like baskets with the holes in them so I don't have to worry about losing the tasty morsels in the fire. Then you can add onions and mushrooms to the pot to jazz that up![p]Mike in MN

Thanks guys for the input but the web-site I was looking for actually had whole potatoes on skewers ( looked like new potatoes ). Anyhow I just got around to doing it and I just took some whole taters and chopped em into cubes, little olive oil, little garlic pepper blend and now I am going out to fire up the egg with some new Royal Oak Lump I just found at the local Taylors... later I'm gonna' drop on some pork chops with some seasoning from Penzys. I think later I am going to venture over to the Dizzy Pig site and order some stuff... I keep reading good things.
