Brisket OR Christmas (worth the wait?!)

It's bbq brisket for Christmas. At 12 minutes past 12AM, I put a 12 pounds brisket in my BGE. At 6+ hrs into the cook, the brisket is in the plateau at 156 ºF.
After checking the temps at 1hr point, I was able to actually sleep and not neurotically check the temp every hour. The egg's only a little hotter than perfect - it's at 247 ºF dome temp. Better than falling to 147. ;)

Now the waiting game. And, as I wait for the excitement of kids opening presents from Santa, I don't know if I'm more excited for the brisket or christmas? You all understand, right?
