I'm stuffed. (music in the background...I feeeeel goood)[p]Tonight was eclectic. Started off with those stuffed mushrooms. I didn't get them quite right. They were delicious, but never did get brown on top. Either way, 1-1/2 lb of crimini mushrooms disappeared with 5 people...2 mushrooms left. Then we had to have traditional Russian NY food..creamed herring with onions and cucumbers and a shot of vodka. So off to a good start. Dinner with a raspberry/chipotle pork tenderloin and some of those lambie chops with maple syrup. Lemme tell you something about those lambie chops. They are delicious. Damned outright delicious. Even if you "don't like lamb," try these. They were 6.99/lb at Costco. I'm going to get a bunch and food saver the little cuties. They are close to $18/lb everywhere else I looked, so this is a steal. Lessee..what else. Oh yes...A Frangelico Creme Brulee. My stupid torch wouldn't work, so had to stick them under the broiler which is a pain. But they are GOOOOOD. All rounded up with some Taittinger champagne (I bought a case in case I was needy) and then some of that Scotch we brought back from England...Superstition (from Isle of Jura). If you're into peaty scotch, this is to die for. Predictions..I will have a horrible headache tomorrow. Man I feel good.[p]Happy New Year everyone. You're the best..and that's not just the scotch or the wine or the vodka or the champagne talking.[p]2005 is gonna be our year![p]Love, MollyShark
