Bullet Bob, I usually heat mine slowly in a coverd pan and add sauce while I'm heating. I use Scotts and the heat evaporates some of the vinegar and adds more twang.

    Bullet Bob,
trust me this works...dump your thawed p/p in a crock pot and pour in a can of Coke - not diet Coke nor can it be Pepsi - only Coke will do. Don't knock it until you try it!

  • RRP,[p]Do you add any BBQ sauce??[p]Thanks

  • Bullet Bob, I would do like either RRP or Sigmore suggest unless it's like we sometimes do when we foodsaver smaller amounts for a quick midweek meal and then boil in the bag. We always prefer our sauce (thinner and vinegary) added on the sandwich or plate right before digging in.

    Bullet Bob,
no because I prefer to serve the p/p in it's natural state, but have both a traditional re BBQ on the side as well as a mustard based sauce which is very good on p/p. I just got home and I was thinking I normally use a whole can of coke in six to 7 pounds of p/p so you might want to cut yours to only a half can. Just remember to stir the meat from time to time. BTW there won't even be any tell-tale brown liquid behind. It's magic - but a trick that you might not want to tell your guests as some people think it sounds crazy. So just have a twinkle in your eye when you graciously accept the accolades!
