I need some help. I'm making a Turkey Christmas Day but have no idea what would be a great "Sit Down" meal for Xmas Eve.... Thanks in advance!

    Beef Tenderloin,Pork Crown Roast,Stuffed Pork Loin.My FAVE,Standing Beef Rib Roast.
  • Lobster tails, with a simple baste...

    FISH & SEAFOOD BASTE
    North Portage Smoke-Shack

    1/4 C. butter
    2 t. lemon juice
    1 t. orange zest
    Big pinch or two (each) dry ginger, salt, pepper and chili powder
    A few dashes of aromatic bitters (be careful, a little goes a long way)

    And, scallops and shrimp skewered with a bourbon glaze.

    BOURBON, PEACH SAUCE
    North Portage Smoke-Shack

    1/2 C. peach preserves
    1/4 C. bourbon
    1/4 C. chili sauce
    1 1/2 t. OLD BAY® Seasoning

    Serrve this up with some hearty breads and fresh steamed veggies...
    Of course some wine will improve all of this too.

    looks good to me. usually start the eggnog with christian bros, then the woodford, then try to finish a lousy bottle of spiced rum i have, friggin dusty bottle seems to last years :laugh:

    christmas eel is a traditional christmas eve dinner, im sure theres a place somewhere on line you could order up a stike of them :laugh:
  • Chili, soup, beef stroganoff, swedish meatballs, lasagna, or crab.
  • now that's my idea of a good protein packed meal!.... rr
