Redi check dual probe

Has anybody had trouble with their redi check transmitting? If I put mine check to the transmiter it will receive but if I move it even a foot away it won't read it.

    Have you tried new batteries? Also, if it is very cold out, the batteries capabilities will diminish.

    I had minor transmitting / reception problems with mine but nothing serious as few feet away.

    Last night my chicken “plateau” for about 25 minutes and then instantly gained about 45º but my problem might be related to distance and interference thru various walls and metal obstacles.

    I would start with the batteries as mentioned by Barry.
