    batfire,
Getting ready for New Years eve?[p]Well, I grill lamb kebabs Mediterranean style but I also like to make Teriyaki steak kebabs.
Kebabs is all about keeping it simple, fun and delicious.[p]Get your favorite steak meat and trim fat. Cut into chunks and marinate in KC Masterpiece Honey Teriyaki marinade 4 hours.[p]Set up your skewers (I use weber stainless flat skewers) or use wood skewers soaked in water.[p]Skewer meat alternatly with fresh pineapple and onion. Spray Pam on both sides of kebabs, a light sprinkle of salt and your good for go. Leave kebabs out of frig to warm up to room temp.[p]Get your egg going with a direct grill set up. Your dealing with steak so you want a higher heat so as to not dry out the meat. 5oo degree dome temp is good. Slowly open lid, spray grid with Pam and put kebabs in. Close lid and smell the aroma! Check often and turn kebabs each time so you dont burn. Here is where your grilling eggspertese comes in. With your finger, press the largest chunk of steak and check for firmness. Soft is rare, somewhat firm is medium, firm is over done.[p]When you think meat is about med. rare, pull a kebab and check with a knife, just to be on the safe side. [p]Serve with Merlot, or in the case of a firefighter, a vintage cranberry juice cocktail.[p]Happy New Year,
