Check out Craycort Cast Iron Grates

BGE does. Should be able to get one from your local dealer.
They are too heavy to make in one piece so they come in half moon configurations.

Thanks, I didnt realize I needed two half moon pieces.

I have the 2 half moons from BGE as mention by Mike and love it.
Yes, the weight if it would be a single piece could be a problem, also much easier to handle and store as half the size.
The Craycort approach is in quarter rather than half which make it more versatile...Marc -
Had the half moon from BGE but only used it a couple times. I was concerned over expansion during use and potentially cracking the the base so stopped using it.
Cut it up for use on my searing machine - my mini

I just use a larger cast iron grate and the triangle from ceramic grill store. I never really thought about any expansions of the half moon version potentially cracking the egg, but now that someone has mentioned it I'm glad I use this set up.
Believe me the large cast iron grate is heavy, one for the XL would be a bear to mess with.

The half moon grids (used improperly) will crack the base of your XL. It has happenned to me. Do NOT remove the firering and put the CI on the firebox looking for that ultimate sear. The CI will expand and without enough room it will split the side of your base. See

Just bought an XL and went for the BGE cast iron grates mainly because of great experiences with cast iron with previous grills. Since the XL grates come in two half moons, I tried to set up on top of the convEGGtor (with the legs up) and it does not seem to fit. I'm a BGE rookie, am I doing something wrong? One half-moon fits perfectly and the other tilts towards the midddle. Any suggestions are appreciated - thank you
