Any time suggestions for a 19 lb Prime Rib Roast??? Help please...this is a first for us on the egg and don't want to "Ruin Christmas"...also, it's too big to fit on the egg, so does anyone have thoughts on cutting it in half and placing both halves on the egg next to each other?[p]THANKS[p]Jim

Steve-B,
take it out to the cold egg and see how it fits. ..bet it'l fit if you cut it in half and put the two pieces 'nose to nose' . ..benefit of this will be 4 end slices for those that like them. ..[p]then you could figure on 15 minutes per pound (following my method for 9 1/2 pound roasts. . .[p]so long as you don't over cook it, it will be great

Jimbo,
Did a 17# ribeye yesterday, according to the Madmax method, except I seared at 600, pulled the meat and shut everything down..Pulled the meat at 122 and rested for 30 min. it hit 132, but the result was better than the last 5 yrs..After the polder hit 90 I shut everything down for the last 2 hrs -started at 2PM, and we ate at 6 PM..meat was med rare--with end pieces well-down....You could cut it with a fork-
