GrillMeister,

Spring Chicken,[p]I was speaking with LR the other day and asked him when the fest was.[p]He couldn't remember the date. Must have something on his mind these days. [p]My wife and I are coming this year. She is a nurse and works all kinds of funky dates, like today for example.[p]Do we have the date set?[p]Mick

MickeyT,[p]It's May 20-22, 2005 on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Head on out to www.texas-eggfest.com and sign up for more info. I'll be updating the site over the holidays. We'd love to have you join us for a great weekend.

Spring Chicken,[p]We can't wait either. It'll be interesting to see the "Slim Chicken" without glasses.

I have to say, this thing is just too cool. I sharpened my electric knife blades with this and a bunch of other knives. Carving the Christmas Turkey was unbelievable with a very sharp knife. I can't wait to try my electric on a brisket this weekend.[p]

GrillMeister,[p]Spyderco makes some great products. I have one screwed onto my worktable for ready access... just in case I need a shave

UnConundrum,[p]Yep,[p]This kit came with a video that showed how to sharpen knifes, scissors, straight razors, hatchets, tin snips, nail clippers, router bits, awls, fishing hooks, potato peelers, etc.[p]My mother-in-law could not believe how sharp I made one of my carving knives in just a few minutes.
