Steaming in the egg

Anyone ever try steaming in the egg? I need to steam enough dungeness crab for ten people tonight, but don't have a big enough pot for a boil. I'm thinking a shallow pan of water on the plate setter and then piling the crabs on the grill. Any ideas as to temps, etc?

ernie,[p]I would maybe also wrap the crabs in aluminum foil - indirect at 350 or so. Just thinking outloud . . .[p]TRex

TRex,[p]Thanks, the foil is a great idea, might have to add some white wine, paprika and lemon, too...[p]Ernie

ernie, you might want to try cracking the crabs to pick up some smoke flavor. I know it works wonders on lobster ! Merry Christmas, let us know how they turn out !
