mad max beyond eggdome,
I don't know about last night, but I know tonight is steak and Lamb Chops.[p]Ok, how weird is this? Sitting here all excited about what someone else is going to cook tonight.[p]Man this place is weird.
-
Bobby-Q,
yea, i know its weird. .. with my schedule and my kids schedules, we've been eating way too much taco bell and wendy's lately, so i have to live vicariously through those who are able to have egged dinner 5 and 6 nights a week. . ..[p]starting tomorrow though, the eggs here will be cooking away. . .
-
mad max beyond eggdome,[p]It was cruddy, rainy and cold, so last night was baked ziti.[p]Tonight it's lamb chops and ribeyes. YUMMM!![p]
-
Mark Backer,
next time, bake your ziti on the egg. . .you won't believe how much better it tastes. . .but don't use any wood... the tomato sauce and cheese will pick up plenty of smoke flavor without extra smoke. .. .here is a picture of a lasagna i did in the egg. .. egg was set up with grid over indirect plate setter at 350 degrees . ...[p][p]always remember, if it went in the oven, it can go in the egg. .. same temps, same times. ...

mad max beyond eggdome,
here was the finished product after one hour at 350[p]

Bobby-Q, I've already got four butts going at 240°. I'm getting ready to cut two boneless Prime Ribeyes into steaks and one roast. After that I've got three bone-in standing rib roasts to fix for friends. I pulled chops out of the freezer for me to cook tonite on the Mini and I'm sitting here drooling over everybody else's posts! Yup, weird is right

Bobby-Q,[p]I read this and thought I'd posted it. It feels almost like being stalked having people know days (or weeks) in advance what your menu is. LOL[p]I am off until the 3rd starting this afternoon, and I plan to have all three of the greenies running a lot. I want to try a bunch of new stuff since we have the time. [p]We got a new digital camera from my folks, so I am hoping for many more food pics over the holidays too, and maybe some website updating. (no, that's not too ambitious).[p]This afternoon I am leaving work early to help my boss set up his new egg. I delivered it yesterday and today is setup and training day for he and his wife. They are very excited and looking forward to drinking the kool-ade.[p]I told them to pick up a tenderloin last night to cook tonight after setup. I plan to dazzle them with my wireless thermometer, my thermapen and my mapp torch. [p]I am imagining his wife making the quick drive to the walmart and williams sonoma for two of the three, followed by signing on here to join group 38 of the thermapen profit enhancement program for fiscal 2005. LOL[p](Mollyshark, thanks again. We love the pen, and I'm glad they sent you one and thanked you. They darn well oughta have...)

mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Max, don't confuse everyone. If you start posting pictures of MY cooks, then people are really gonna start getting scared. LOL
-
Mark Backer,
well, dang big guy. . . i don't ever want to hear of you and molly doin something in the oven that should otherwise be done in the egg. ..GOT IT!!! . .i don't care if its raining or snowing or lightining, or anything else. .trust me.. .you won't melt. ..LOL
-
mad max beyond eggdome,[p]but it was cold AND rainy. What was a girl to do?
-
Mark Backer,
in your case, easy answer. . .send molly out there!!! isn't that why you trained her to be an egger. . .geez, when will they ever learn. ...
-
Mark Backer,
I've seen the pics of your setup and you would definitely benefit by putting a patio canopy over your eggs. I'm in the business and would be glad to help. It was raining at my house last night as well but I was Eggin' nice and dry. Merry Christmas.
