Had this in my investment account email:[p]****[p]- The rebirth of the ancient (over 3000 years old) Kamado cooker
has happened and now has a remarkable cult-like following. Why
buy a Weber or a plain old gas grill when you can buy "The Big
Green Egg." This ceramic (yes, it's green and egg-shaped and
sits on a stand called a nest) cooker blends the cooking,
grilling, and smoking of ancient times with modern conveniences
to regulate temperature and airflow. The results? Foods that are
mmm, mmm, good.[p]*****[p]

    randomegger,[p]My advice? BUY BUY BUY!!
  • Mark Backer,[p]Still haven't broken in the new mini and we decided to relocate the gasser to the cabin - I was angling for a small or medium up there. At the moment, I can't think of a valid reason for the XL - besides, my porch would collapse from the combined weights....[p]So, until they come out with the Extra Mini, my BGE buying days are over. For at least the remainder of this year, that is.[p]Has anyone bought one of those chimenea thingies?[p]RE

randomegger,[p]I told the wife last night that the only way I'll have another is if I win it at eggtoberfest. (a likely story).[p]As for the chiminea, yep. Sure have. We have one and my wife's sister has one across the street. They are great heaters. [p]They are NOT, however, anywhere close to as thick as the BGE. If you touch the chiminea whilst it's a burnin', you'll be a wailin'. [p]Still, it's a lot better and more efficient than the terra cotta chimineas...
