Well even though I absolutly love my Large BGE I purchased another smoker. I started the love for smoking with a Brinkman water smoker then moved to a Charbroil offset years ago. I always missed burning wood so finally decided to pull the trigger on this, the egg will continue to get lots of use but when cooking for large groups, or lots of ribs this baby will be nice.

Nice unit. I know someone who has a Meadow Creek and it is really nice. One day, when I decide to go competitive with some friends of mine, I want to buy a Lang. While my first love and the one I will use most of the time will always be the Egg, there are some advantages (biggest being space) of the Meadow Creek/Lang.

I looked at lang, and although they are quite a bit cheaper, they are so far away shipping would have killed me.

Good for you! Wish I could justify owning one of those. No need to fess up, BGE's are wonderful (I have a few) but they're not the only great source of heat & smoke in the BBQ hood..
