Turkey temp question
chudn
Posts: 28
Have had the bird on for 2 hours at 325 and leg temps already around 150 (checked in mult areas with Thermapen)
What is the typical cooking curve for a turkey? Does it plateau or should I slow this train down? At this rate it will be done about 2 hrs early.
Have a 15# turkey with inverted plate setter, ceramic feet with roasting pan and V rack. Basted every 30 min.
Thanks in advance.

Should take about 3 hours. 12 mins per pound, you're right on schedule it looks like.

No plateau on this cook.
