Jump start Thanksgiving today

Today's menu; Brined turkey thighs, baked sweet taters, cranberry nut bread, pumpkin pie, all cooked in my eggs. :woohoo: Anticipation!
Tomorrow we go down to Milwaukee, pick up Grandma and go over to my sister's house for traditional roasted turkey dinner.

Last night we had a Thanksgiving koldtbord with some of the real stuff, Taffel Aquavit. Cuts right through the rich meats and creamy cheeses I set out. Goooood stuff. Also had Martini and Rossi Asti in place of beer. It is Thanksgiving after all.

Travel safe, eat well, be merry my friends.

Thanks! My sister does good with the turkey and everything else is homemade, my job is to make the gravy...easy enough. We make a pre-Thanksgiving because, well you know, it's better.

Where are you able to find Taffel Aquvavit? In Canada we can't get it at all anymore - and in visits to the US I've been able to get the fancier stuff - but never the taffel. I've managed to convince a few people coming back from Europe to bring along a bottle - but I have a Danish friend who loves the stuff and I like to make my friends happy by finding them things they like.
