I've had my large Egg for about six months now and am an absolute addict. I'm ready to try something dramatic for Christmas Day -- prime rib -- and want to make sure that I get it right. Can any of you experts give me some guidance? I could particularly use help with estimated cooking times, suggested temperatures for typical size prime ribs and rubs/smoke. All advice is most appreciated. I've greatly enjoyed lurking and learning for the past six months. I hope ya'll have a great Christmas.[p]Go 'Hoos[p]Wahooegger

well, that particular one was a two boner. . .i think it weighed in a little under 4 pounds. . .probably only roasted for a little over an hour. . .sorry, i don't remember exactly. ..but it was high end prime meat, and it had a flavor i just haven't experienced with choice rib roasts, which is what i usually cook, and taste great as well. ..

LOL. .. if you like that one, you should have seen the 4 boner i did last year at xmas. ..that was a big un. . ..
