There are MANY ways.I have 2 grids.I place one on the egg on the firering then use some sorta spacer to elevate the second one.You can use empty beer/soda cans,foil balls,pretty much anything that won't burn up.If you have only one grid you can make a foil o-ring the circumference of your egg and place it on top of the firering then place the grid on top of the foil o-ring.
