What is everyone doing to prevent the ends of the ribs extending out beyond the platesetter from becoming charred?

Two options here, get an XL BGE,or try a small piece of aluminum foil under the rib ends

What Sparky said....and these were going on an XL....

I bought a metal pizza pan from walmart that fits perfectly inside the legs of the large platesetter. I use it on on all indirect cooks. It extends the protected area enough that i never get burnt ends.

I cut 1 end off so it fits perfectly. Typically with an extended grid I'm easily getting 3 racks and 4 if I try.
