Prime strip steak

Hi Monica - As part of my post-graduate education, this evening I grilled a one pound 1.5" thick strip steak (Prime, not Choice) after getting the BGE up to 600 degrees, and maintaining it, I slapped the steak with an herb-garlic-pepper rub onto the Grill Grates. 5 minutes per side, beautiful grill marks, let it rest 5 minutes and Oh my God!, it was awesome; even the lightly crusted fat was delicious. I don't normally tell people what I eat, but I probably couldn't have brought it off without your instruction and help from my new Egghead Friends in Plano and environs.
