Recipe: Grilled Thai Flank Steak w/ Sauce

I know everyone is busy with turkeys and roasts but I wanted something a little different.
Thai Grilled Flank Steak w/ a Coconut Peanut Sauce

You can get the details on my blog post here: Thai Grilled Steak
But the short version is -
Season a flank steak with some salt, cayenne, and garlic powder.
Make this sauce over medium - low heat in a sauce pan until thickened:
Sauce
1 can coconut milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp curry powder
2 Tbsp lime juice
1 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
Now bring the Egg up to 450-500f. Grill the steak about 4 minutes per side for medium rare (Pull at internal temp of 125f).
Let it rest.
Shut the bottom vent, add wok to the Egg and cook your favorite stir fried rice. Mine was a thai basil fried rice.
2 eggs

1/2 cup onion, 1 clove garlic, and 1 medium cayenne pepper

3 cups cooked jasamine rice, 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp water, 1/2 tsp sugar and about 15-20 basil leaves split. Throw the leaves in at the last minute and let the rice heat wilt them like spinach.

The sauce is very good but mostly sweet, so you want to kick heat in with your steak rub, whatever you use, to offset it. Plus serve with sriracha sauce too.

Other things we made last week were:
Black and Blue Salad (click for link)

and
Jerk Pork Butt Sliders using Jamaican Festival for the bread (kind of like hush puppies)
