Mikes gravy posted early today: why bother with a full turkey. Make that gravy and some bread - done.....
Mikes gravy is not a quick deal(took the best part of the day, and a call to Mike).
But, the very best gravy I have ever had. This will be the only way my wife and I have gravy from now on.
She will still cook her turkey in the oven and mine on the egg spatchcocked. But both with Mike's gravy.
Thank you Mike.....

  • Mickey I am so happy you and the wife enjoyed the gravy and it was my pleasure to help out. This is what it is all about, a big happy family helping each other.
  • Mike, I printed out your gravy recipe. It's hard for me to use all these great recipes because my kids are all adults with lives of their own, and I end up going to someone else's house for special occasions. But if there's ever a hint of a question about how to make gravy, I'll be waving your recipe in their face.

    Thanks for your generous contributions!

  • Hi Mickey, I also was inspired by Mike's post to make the gravy yesterday. Great idea and now I have one less thing to do on Thursday. Thanks Mike!
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

    Mike:
I read your recipe and it does sound good. Just curious, if you make the gravy ahead, how do you warm it when ready serve so it comes out like fresh made? Thinking about trying this.
